A missionary city of the XVII century. Welcome to San José del Cabo! The place is quiet and serene, with an unforgettable combination of views from the desert mountains and its unique beaches. Beyond that, the town also offers attractions for many relaxing days, such as a charming municipal palace, stores and boutiques for shopping lovers, restaurants for open air dining and the incredible Estero San José — an ecological paradise that is the home of colorful birds and a variety of plants.
The San José del Cabo International Airport (SDJ) welcomes the tourists who chose the city as their vacation destination and is one of the most important ones in the area of Baja California. The terminal was opened in 1997 and, apart from domestic flights, also greets tourists that come directly from the United States, Canadá and a few locations in China.
The SJD Airport is located just under 7 miles from downtown San José del Cabo, which is about 50 minutes by car. There, you’ll be met with an incredible infrastructure — a total of 4 terminals with tourist agencies all around, an entertainment center for the little ones, elevators and ramps for accessibility, many dining options, ATMs and free wi-fi. For last-minute shopping, the SJD also offers a variety of clothing and accessories stores, bookstores and more.
